Course Overview

This comprehensive 2-day workshop empowers educators to harness emerging AI technologies, especially the Google AI ecosystem (Gemini and NotebookLM) to reclaim instructional time and transform student learning. Participants will move beyond basic AI literacy to master advanced prompting, automate administrative workflows, differentiate curriculum, and design AI-resilient assessments. Designed specifically for the Cambridge, IB, and local Matric/Inter curricula, this course provides practical, hands-on strategies to integrate AI responsibly, ethically, and effectively in the modern classroom.


Learning Outcomes:

  • Differentiate between general Generative AI and Source-Grounded AI to mitigate hallucinations and ensure accuracy.
  • Apply the C.T.C.E (Context, Task, Constraints, Ethics) framework to engineer effective prompts for lesson planning and standard alignment.
  • Automate repetitive administrative tasks and communications while adhering strictly to student data privacy and protection protocols.
  • Curate and deploy multimodal "Teacher-Led Notebooks" using NotebookLM to create interactive study guides and Audio Overviews based solely on trusted materials.
  • Utilize AI to instantly differentiate and re-level complex texts to accommodate diverse reading proficiencies and EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners.
  • Design AI-resilient, process-oriented assessments that evaluate critical thinking and promote transparent, ethical AI use


Important Details

Pre - requisites:

  • Basic digital literacy and comfort using web-based applications.
  • An active Google Workspace account (preferably Google Workspace for Education) of Google AI Pro account. (Participants may be able to sign up for a free trail prior to the training workshop.)
  • Familiarity with the teaching standards and rubrics of their respective curriculum (IB, Cambridge, or local boards).
  • Note: No prior coding or advanced AI experience is required.
