Course Overview

This course is designed to empower educators by enhancing their understanding and application of critical thinking in the classroom. It builds on their existing knowledge and teaching experience to foster continuous professional growth. Participants will explore the significance of critical thinking in education and its transformative role in shaping students' intellectual development.

Throughout the course, educators will analyze and apply foundational models such as Bloom???s Taxonomy and the Paul-Elder Framework to inform their teaching. They will learn how to develop assessment methods and design rubrics aligned with critical thinking goals to effectively evaluate students' abilities. Practical strategies will be introduced to create lesson plans that incorporate critical thinking into everyday teaching practices.

Educators will also engage in reflective practices to assess their own growth as critical-thinking educators. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with practical tools and strategies to create a classroom environment that promotes inquiry, curiosity, and analytical thinking.
