Course Overview

This interactive two-day workshop is designed to introduce elementary school teachers to inquiry-based learning (IBL) a student-centered approach that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and deeper understanding. Participants will explore both the theory and practices of IBL in the classroom.

Learning Objectives:

• Explain key learning theories that support IBL, including constructivism and experiential learning.
• Analyze the connections between the taught, written, and assessed curriculum to ensure alignment and coherence in implementing inquiry-based learning.
• Create lesson plans incorporating inquiry-based approaches tailored to elementary school classrooms.
• Identify challenges and opportunities in applying IBL within the Pakistani education system and develop strategies to overcome barriers.
