Course Overview

The Certificate in School Leadership and Management (CSLM) is the LUMS School of Education's flagship certificate program. As an Executive-level program, this certificate is designed for education leaders, school principals, school management, head teachers, education managers and candidates who aspire to lead educational organizations in Pakistan.

The content and structure of the program have been curated to be practical and practitioner-focused to enable professionals to gain research-backed approaches to lead effectively and manage change in their respective organizations. Taught by senior faculty at the LUMS School of Education, along with guest lectures and panel discussions with education practitioners, the CSLM is designed to develop the capacity of school leaders to apply learning directly to problems in their professional settings.

Upon completion, school leaders will have a deeper understanding of frameworks, develop skills, and gain knowledge to effectively lead schools and educational institutes.

The program consists of 3 learning modules:

• Leading Self

Develop a critical understanding of yourself and of leadership practices that build an inclusive educational environment.

• Leading Learning

Gain deeper insights on the scholarship on teacher learning, professional capital, continuous professional learning and instructional leadership for 21st -century education institutions.

• Leading Organization

Examine change process in educational settings and understand how to develop strategies to lead organizations towards excellence.
