Course Overview

Redefining Teaching: Advanced Pedagogical Approaches to "Active Learning" is designed to equip educators with innovative strategies to foster student engagement and deep learning. This course explores the fundamentals of active learning, practical techniques to implement it, and the integration of educational technology to enhance classroom interactions. Participants will explore advanced active learning strategies such as flipped classrooms, where students engage with content before class to maximize interactive learning time; peer teaching, which enhances collaboration and knowledge retention and many more strategies. Additionally, teachers will learn how to use Ed-tech tools to create engaging and student-centered learning environments. Special focus is given to low-resource settings, ensuring that all teachers, regardless of context, can implement these strategies effectively. By the end of the course, participants will be able to design and execute lesson plans that promote active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
